My journey to Normandy in August 2016 marked the starting point of an art project dedicated to Franco-German relations and its importance for the stability of Europe.
I will strive to make a link between the past and the present as well as to get a sense as to where we are heading, based on first-hand information collected.
My trip to the battelfields of World War I can be considered a core element of a broader pulse check that will hopefully help us understand common denominators between France and Germany as well as factors that might jeopardize our partnership down the line.

The world is rapidly changing and we need to take urgent action. However, in light of the many uncertainties surrounding us, it is difficult to determine which issue to tackle first. But one thing is for sure: Sit back and relax is not an option. And: We can achieve much more in a joint effort than on our own.
